There are many pieces of me in the book, but these two pieces are specific to my life in a way those ones aren’t.

Books appear in a lot of different ways in my debut novel. My MC is a book restorer, the voice in her head often quotes books, and the bookshop owner has interesting taste in reading themes.

I didn’t plan to include so much of my early life in the book, but it just worked out that way. In part three of Easter Eggs, we’re talking about the little pieces of me that appear in the book about setting.

The flowers referenced in The Deep Space Between not only grow in the book’s location but also have specific meanings. I did that intentionally. Here’s what they all mean.
